Bournemouth based web design and online marketing agency Refreshed Media has just launched a new website for the world famous Cunard Line. The luxury line operates the most famous ships in the world, QE2 and Queen Mary 2 and will be launching their latest Queen, Queen Victoria in December 2007.

The new site queenvictoria.cunard.co.uk has been developed to showcase Cunard's new ocean liner, Queen Victoria, which is set to arrive in Southampton on Friday 7 December 2007. Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, will perform the naming ceremony in the presence of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and over 2,000 VIP guests from around the globe. Queen Victoria will then set sail on her maiden voyages to Europe before embarking on an impressive 106 night World Cruise from Southampton to New York and onwards in January 2008.

Jamie Shanks Director of Design at Refreshed Media said - "This has been a fantastic opportunity to work on such an exciting brand. The interactive opportunities for Cunard are endless and we are looking forward to developing more engaging user experiences for Cunards target market. We have included some interesting features such as an interactive timeline that illustrates the history of the ship from the announcement of order in 2004 to the finishing touches this year. In addition we have created a multitude of interactive maps that showcase the forthcoming year of her maiden season."

Jamie continued "I really feel we have created much more of an intimate online experience with the launch of this site, especially with the use of interactive virtual tours later in the year that will give the user a real taste of life on board."

The site incorporates some impressive creative and technical features including, a 360 degree virtual tour, countdown clock, interactive flash mapping, news room and RSS feeds. All the features have been developed to enhance viewers experience and help them to visualise the ship.

For the first time ever, we will have three Queens sailing under the Cunard flag at the same time and Queen Victoria will generate great excitement as she travels the globe.
